Doug has forty years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to his recent retirement, Doug was a Senior Manager within RBC’s Group Risk Management, responsible for adjudicating all agriculture files where loans exceeded $10 million across Canada. He worked collaboratively with a large number of agriculture account managers and their sales leaders and coached them to put better deals in place. He also provided guidance for files where risk was increasing. Before moving into Risk Management roles, Doug was a branch manager at a number of branches both urban and rural. Doug was also involved in the design and delivery of credit training programs during his time at CIBC. Doug studied economics at Trent University in Peterborough.
